no u have to open a separate web page for gmail.
Reply:Orkut and gmail is the same company, they use so called "cookies" that are stored on your computer.


Both of them use the same cookie to check your identity.


If you would like to sign in with different users for example in the same time, you would have to open a different browser:


For example log in as "john: to orkut in internet explorer, and log in as "jane" to gmail in mozilla firefox .... got the idea?


This way you will be also logged in as john to gmail in IE and as jane to orkut in mozilla.

Now do the vice-versa...Sign in to gmail %26amp; go to orkut....u will find the same result...


Sign out from any one %26amp; you will be signed out from both...
