If you have heaps of friends in Orkut/Facebook, does this confirm that you are seriously popular?

Do people really take this stuff seriously? I remember thinking this way back in Kindergarten! The more signatures I gathered in my autograph book (remember those?!) the better I felt about myself!

Nah. It just shows how much you don't have a life, or that you are too afraid to communicate without the use of your computer.
Reply:Well I was not an orkut freak but recently I joined a lot of communities and made a few friends over there.But in any case i donot feel they can equal my real life friends.Its just that we discuss and like to talk about certain issues and to tell you i have noticed some real freaks who have 1001 people added to their list.I feel its a desease.
Reply:No exactly... because I have a few people who where with me in college and I never spoke to them because they were geeky... but they've added me on Orkut and facebook... and I accepted them outta pity... these people have added over 500 friends... Such sites are filled with losers of the real world.
