How can i ban orkut on my computer?

hey everyone...i m using orkut 24*7 n i want to restrict myself...the only possible way i can seek is to ban orkut on my pc...so that i cannt open it even if i want to....so pllz help me out....i use IE(internet explorer) and sometimes mozilla too...

You do not need any softwares. You can simply do it within seconds if you follow the method below.


* Right click on your Internet icon.


* Click on Internet Properties.


* Go to security


* Click on Restricted Sites icon /9A red colour circle with a white minus sign)


* Click on 'sites' button


* Type the web address that u want 2 block (e.g: www.orkut.com)


* Click 'Add'


* Then click on OK.





THATS ALL.


Forget the point that you can always remove it from the list. If you concentrate on something else more than orkut, you can restrict yourself from using it.


I was also addicted to it, and then during my exam time, i didn't use it for about a week...then i lost interest in sending picture scraps, etc. Now i use it only when it's necessary.

Questioner, use a program made for parents to restrict what their kids see, then just type in a random password so you can't turn it off.
Reply:Don't worry dude...its not a big deal. Orkut was not banned on your computer at all, a malware program was blocking it. A good anti-virus or an internet security suite could help you, but if even they fail, you could try restoring your computer to an earlier date.

this will definitely fix your problem. Formatting your HDD is the last option you have, but with "System Restore" facility, you'd not have to do that.





P.S. That malware must've entered your computer when you clicked on a malicius link scrapped to you by someone. So next time, be careful and dont click on any suspicious link.
