I got a virus from orkut that automatically post scraps and testimony . what should i do?

I recently got a virus that automatically post scraps and testimonies written in some language to all of my friends in the friends list when I open orkut thru Internet Explorer. Also IE gets shut down after few seconds of login. What should i do to get rid of this?

Scan with a online scanner first if you don't have a antivirus program.





Then download a antivirus program. If you don鈥檛 have it.

There are more free antivirus programs out there. What鈥檚 the best of them I don鈥檛 know, but Avast and AVG are good.


I use Norton Internet Security.





Also try scanning with some antivirus online scanner like http://www.bitdefender.com/ and a security/antivirus scanner like http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home....





You also need a firewall. If you don鈥檛 have one that is. ZoneAlarm has a free one.

Disable Windows firewall if it鈥檚 not disabled automatically. That is if you download another firewall.





Also have some spyware/adware removers like Ad Aware SE Personal and Spybot-S%26amp;D.

Reply:run an anti virus scan then remove the virus. use a safer browser like firefox or opera. don't login to orkut till u remove the virus.
